The Who - At Kilburn: 1977 DVD
Watch: Trailer
Newly mastered in high-definition with state-of-the-art sound, the December 15, 1977 Kilburn show at the Gaumont State Theater in North London was recorded before a select audience for Jeff Stein’s hit film about The Who, The Kids Are Alright, but only a few brief selections of what would prove to be legendary drummer KEITH MOON’s public swan song were ever seen in the finished feature. Captured on 35mm with six cameras and a 16-track audio recorder, the complete Kilburn show features Moon and the rest of the band’s classic line-up -- singer ROGER DALTREY, guitarist/singer PETE TOWNSEND, and bassist JOHN ENTWISTLE--in top form with many of their biggest hits. Also included in this release is another never-before-seen show and one of the band’s favorites, their 1969 London Coliseum performance, which comes with a wealth of additional bonus tracks and boasts the first-ever full live recording of their groundbreaking rock opera, Tommy. With a total of 29 classic The Who songs, this pivotal release has long been at the top of rock fans’ wish lists and has been regarded as a lost “holy grail” for followers of The Who since Moon’s passing.

Watch: Looking Out My Back Door | I Put A Spell On You | Heard It Through The Grapevine
In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Creedence Clearwater Revival, all six of the band’s albums (Creedence Clearwater Revival, Bayou Country, Green River, Willy & the Poor Boys, Cosmo’s Factory and Pendulum), have been reissued in expanded editions and contain an array of rarities: B-sides, unreleased studio and live material, even a summit between the band and Booker T & the MGs. “Although they sounded like no other band,” critic BenFong-Torres notes, “They redefined rock and roll. They showed, in the most entertaining way possible, how the music could embrace and was, in fact, founded on elements of R&B and the blues, country, folk, and jazz, as well as a world of other musical forms. Creedence were pioneers in the fusion of rock and country. They were roots before ‘roots’ took hold as a music genre.”

Shiny Toy Guns - Season Of Poison
Listen: Ricochet
The highly anticipated sophomore album from Shiny Toy Guns. The album is the follow up to their critically acclaimed Grammy nominated debut record We Are Pilots which was released in 2006. The band spent the better half of 2 years on and off the road progressing their dance/rock and electronic roots. Once again producing the album by themselves, founding members Chad Petree (vocals, guitar) and Jeremy Dawson (synthesizer, bass) used 2008 technology to marry dynamic late-70's style synthesizer programming with face-erasing stoner rock; gently spreading this over layer upon layer of ethnic and tribal rhythms.

The Beatles/Cirque Du Soleil - All Together Now DVD
Watch: Trailer
The documentary details the story behind the unique partnership between The Beatles and Cirque du Soleil that resulted in the creation and 2006 launch of LOVE, the stage production still playing to packed houses at The Mirage in Las Vegas, and the experimental Beatles soundscape album of the same name which garnered two Grammy Awards for producers Sir George and Giles Martin. The film is dedicated to the memory of Neil Aspinall, former CEO of Apple Corps and an Executive Producer of the DVD. ‘All Together Now’ faithfully recounts how the LOVE project came into being, borne from the personal friendship between George Harrison and Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberte. George saw how the twin talents of The Beatles’ music and the artistry of Cirque du Soleil’s artistry and could be fused into something new and totally original.

Ani DiFranco - Red Letter Year
Listen: Tracks From The CD
"I've got myself a new mantra," Ani DiFranco shares on her new studio album. "It says `Don't forget to have a good time.'" This attitude has clearly influenced the dozen tunes on Red Letter Year, which celebrate existence, profess love and tackle thorny political issues with an infectious sense of glee. It's one of Ani's most joyous records to date. And it has been a long time coming. Red Letter Year was sculpted over the course of two years, a period in which Ani continued to hone her songwriting, performing and recording skills, all the while balancing her new role as a mom. "I think I sorely needed to be slowed down, and finally a little person came along powerful enough to do it," Ani reflects. The end result is an album of focused, layered, panoramic music.

Jack's Mannequin - The Glass Passenger
Listen: The Resolution
Watch: The Resolution | Acoustic Performance
The new album was written and recorded over the course of nearly two years, going into the studio whenever inspiration struck. As a result, leader Andrew McMahon describes the album as “a bizarre balance between present and past. I was trying to use the music to sort through and reconcile with the adversity of my past.” While The Glass Passenger is essentially autobiographical, the album is not meant to serve as a direct description of McMahon’s life. “My past is my past and a lot of this record is about that,” he says “but it’s also about trying to write myself out of it. This is a record about trying to get well. It’s about getting out from underneath something. I want people to receive the music for what it is and not have to contextualize it against my own personal battle.”

Tori Amos - Live At Montreux CD/DVD
Watch: Thank You
The performances took place just a year apart from each other in July 1991 and July 1992 at the Montreux Jazz Festival. It is almost like a “before and after” snapshot. The ’91 gig came only months before her Little Earthquakes debut had catapulted her into an instant icon, the ’92 appearance shortly thereafter. The progression in both performance and audience receptivity is appreciable. Material includes most of her stellar debut but also tracks from her indie EPs and some notable covers (Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love” and “Thank You” as well as Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit”).

B. B. King - One Kind Favor
Watch: EPK
Contest winner: Jennifer Regan (Pleasant Hill, CA)
One Kind Favor, produced by T Bone Burnett, features covers of old blues songs from B.B. King’s early influences. Recorded at The Village Recorder in Los Angeles, the album is meant to sound like an album recorded in the 50s. To get this sound Burnett and King replicated the kind of blues band King had back in the day by bringing in some of the greats – Dr. John on piano, Nathan East on stand up acoustic bass and Jim Keltner on drums, to name a few. Studio conditions of the time were reproduced. The result is a vintage sounding album filled with the songs that influenced King in his early days as an artist.

By turns achingly melodic and startlingly visceral, Sunshine Lies swirls with poetic emotion and stark attitude, bringing into play the entire gamut of Sweet's stylistic experience. Flowing with ease, Sweet’s uniquely personal songwriting never fails to delight, and he has described the album as "very direct, but seen through the eyes of nature, or rather modeled on its beauty, chaos and freedom, something like a stab at sonic art nouveau." The album will also be released as a 2 LP set including four previously unreleased bonus tracks not available on the CD. For customer convenience, a CD will be included with purchases of the LP.

Todd Rundgren - Arena

Contest winner: Erica Gonzalez (Chicago, IL)
This is his first full-length album of original studio material in 4 years. He says "I found myself just going out and doing this sort of guerilla guitar quartet thing around the country and around Canada, so when it came time to make a record, I thought maybe I’ll just continue in that vein and write something that is appropriate to the guitar, since the fans seem to be enjoying it so much. So when I decided to write a new album, I knew beforehand it was going to be this kind of old-school guitar-rock record.”
