Awolnation Release Their Fourth Album

Modern rock band Awolnation hit fame hard a few years back with their outstanding single “Sail”. It’s a song almost everyone liked and still is in rotation. After a couple good followup albums, they have now returned for their fourth album “Angel Miners & The Lightning Riders”. It’s an “Amazon’s Choice”, saying:

“a full-throttle journey, linked by a conceptual framework about good versus evil.” and [their] “boldest and greatest body of work to date.”

A vehicle for songwriter and singer Aaron Bruno, Awolnation blends modern rock with pop touches and with some innovation here and there. Allmusic.com liked it a lot too, saying:

“There isn’t a dud to be found on this album” and “Bruno ended up crafting an energetic, fun, and compulsively listenable set that distills the best of what AWOLNATION can do: making pop-savvy, dance-friendly, alternative rock anthems that are not bound to traditional genre conventions. Like a buoyant blend of Twenty One Pilots and Nine Inch Nails that’s been blasted with Californian sunlight and ocean waves, there’s a lot going on here, but it all works.”

You can’t argue with that!
